The Art of Receiving
March is Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of women throughout history. But here’s something many of us still struggle with—receiving.
For so many women—especially those of us raised in the ‘80s and beyond—asking for help feels like a sign of weakness. We’ve been taught to juggle everything on our own, to be independent to a fault, and to give without hesitation… but when it comes to receiving? That’s where we hesitate.
In this bite-sized episode, Ashley Logan explores the power of receiving and why saying yes to even the smallest gestures—like a glass of water at a meeting or an offer for support—can create deeper connection and stronger communities.
In this episode, Ashley dives into:
- Why women have been conditioned to resist receiving help
- How saying yes strengthens trust and relationships
- Small shifts that make a big impact in fostering connection
- Personal lessons on leaning into support and community
This Women’s History Month, let’s challenge the idea that strength means doing everything alone. Just as you love to give, others want to give to you, too. 💛
